Created from a rare French textile dating to the 1960s and sourced during Liz Saintsing’s recent trip to Paris, this one-of-a-kind decorative pillow features dramatic woven imagery, rich contrast, and striking cobalt blue accents that give the piece a bold, collected presence.
The intricate tapestry-style textile combines figural and botanical motifs against a deep dark ground, creating a composition layered with movement, detail, and old-world character. Vibrant cobalt blue woven bands frame the central imagery, adding a graphic element that feels both timeless and unexpectedly modern.
A golden twisted cording was selected as the finishing detail, adding structure and refinement while complementing the warmth of the woven tones throughout the textile.
Only one pillow was created from this rare vintage fabric.
Each pillow is hand-sewn in Liz’s Charlotte studio using refined construction techniques and carefully chosen trims selected to honor the beauty and character of the original cloth.
