This rare textile was sourced in Paris and dates to the 1950s. Inspired by the refined maison fabrics of 18th- and 19th-century France, the striped floral motif carries a timeless elegance layered with history and charm.
Soft sky blue, cream, and golden ochre tones are woven into a graceful linear pattern that feels both classic and unexpectedly fresh. A richly layered tassel fringe was selected as the finishing detail, adding movement, texture, and warmth while complementing the palette and character of the original cloth.
Only two pillows were created from this textile.
Once this fabric is gone, it cannot be replicated — no additional pillows will be made.
Each pillow is hand-sewn in Liz Saintsing’s Charlotte studio using refined construction techniques and carefully selected details designed to honor the beauty and integrity of the original textile.
