This rare Italian jacquard was sourced in Paris and dates to the 1940s. Intricate scrolling botanical motifs in shades of sage, teal, crimson, and gold unfold across a warm neutral ground, creating a design that feels both richly detailed and timeless.
Metallic trim and fringe dating to the 1720s were selected as the finishing details, adding movement, texture, and a remarkable layer of history while complementing the palette and character of the original textile.
Only two pillows were created from this exceptional combination of textile and trim.
Once these materials are gone, they cannot be replicated — no additional pillows will be made.
Each pillow is hand-sewn in Liz Saintsing's Charlotte studio using refined construction techniques and carefully selected details designed to honor the beauty and integrity of the original textile.
